What we accept
Heavy scrap (iron)
Steel at least a quarter inch (¼ in) thick: beams, plate, machinery, axles, structural pieces. Paid by the metric tonne, this is scrap's “heavy” grade.
Sheet metal and light scrap
Thin metal of all kinds: appliances, car bodies, filing cabinets, roofing sheet, fencing. Paid by the metric tonne at a lower price than heavy scrap.
Busheling
Clean sheet and steel with no contaminants, typically new industrial offcuts. It's the best-paying steel grade.
Drums and rotors
Cast-iron brake parts (drums and discs) form their own grade, well paid for scrap.
Mixed lots
No time to sort? Unsorted mixed lots are accepted. Sorting still gets you a better return: separated, cast iron, heavy steel, and sheet each get paid at their proper grade.
Preparation tips
- ✓Separate heavy (¼ in and up) from light: the two grades have different prices.
- ✓Pull aluminum, copper, and stainless out of your iron lots, they're worth far more sold separately.
- ✓Brake drums and rotors sell better separated from general scrap.
- ✓For large volumes (500 lbs and up), call us: volume rates apply.
